In this episode, Ron sits down with Lieutenant Colonel Oakland McCulloch, a decorated veteran who shares his fascinating personal journey, from serving in the United States Army to the current multiple roles he juggles in his life – that of author, speaker, and advocate of servant leadership. Drawing inspiration from his own past experiences and personal interactions, he discusses the pivotal moment that sparked his decision to write his book, "Your Leadership Legacy."
Ron and Lieutenant Colonel McCulloch delve deep into such topics as: the role of family in leadership, the power of public speaking, and the value of mentorship and continuous learning. Lieutenant Colonel McCulloch also highlights the significance of effective communication, and the importance of passing on knowledge to future generations.
Their conversation concludes brilliantly with McCulloch sharing his father’s “75% Rule”, which states that if a person cannot perform a task better than 75% of the other people doing it, they should consider making a change. Profound advice, indeed.
